Caveman Grubs Fudgy Brownie Mix (Review)

Caveman Grub where kind enough to send me out some of their delicious products to try and review to share my thoughts with you all.

Caveman Grub are an Irish company based in Co Galway. All of their products are Grain Free, Naturally Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Free from refined sugar. They are all also made from natural ingredients, organic wherever possible, free from colourings, free from preservatives and free from nasty chemicals.

Here are my thoughts on their Fudgy Brownie Mix

When I received the products I honestly could not wait to try the Brownie Mix. We all love a good chocolate brownie. It was not long before I had the pack opened and poured the chocolatey powder in the bowl. It smelled so chocolatey.

The packaging said to add 120 grams of melted coconut oil or salted butter. I loved that you have a choice here as I was out of coconut oil. So yes I had to stick to butter. I also had to add two medium sized eggs and 70 grams of chopped walnuts (this was optional) While mixing the ingredients together I found the mixture was very sticky. I thought I may need to add a little bit more butter. I did not add any though. I just thought it may need to be sticky. The Smell of chocolate that was coming from the mix was so good though. I could tell they are going to be very rich.

I poured the mix in to a well greased baking tin and baked for 30 minutes, again the chocolate smell was amazing coming from the oven. I could not wait to try these. Once they were baked and cooled I cut them into squares. They where so fudgy and moist I needed to give my knife a wipe between cuts using a piece of kitchen paper.

As I took my first bite in to one of these brownies I got a very rich chocolate taste and then a good crunch from the walnuts. They where not as sweet as any other brownies I have ever tried but the rich chocolate taste makes up for that. As they are so rich I would advise you to cut them a little smaller than normal.

These Fudgy Brownies by Caveman Grub are definitely fudgy, they are also decadent and moist with a rich chocolate taste. I really did enjoy these and I will purchase the mix again. They are easy to prepare and we all know I love easy with delicious results.

Next time I prepare these I will add chopped hazelnuts instead of the walnuts. We all know I am a Nutella Fanatic, Hazelnut and Chocolate. Yes please.
