With a young child running around, I think about snacks a lot more than I used to. Every chance I get to sneak in a healthy snack here and there is one that I embrace. When I can offer him snacks that I feel great about, it makes it even better.

These easy DIY Fruit & Vege Snacks are a big hit . They’re just as fun to make as they are to eat – especially if your little one is helping you out in the kitchen. I’ve found that any time I involve my son in cooking, he’s more likely to try whatever we’ve made together.

The ratio of ingredients is really easy to remember and the variations are endless with these.

I found my molds at my local 2 euro shop. U can get yours below. There is loads to choose from.

  • For The Orange Gummy:
  • 2 Cooled Cooked Carrots
  • 1 Cup Pure Orange Juice
  • ½ Cup Honey
  • ⅓ Cup Gelatin
  • For The Green Gummy:
  • 1 Handful of Spinach
  • 1 Cup Pure Apple Juice
  • ½ Cup Honey
  • ⅓ Cup Gelatin
  • For The Purple Gummy:
  • ⅓ Cup Strawberries
  • ½ Cup Blueberries
  • ½ Cup Apple Juice
  • ½ Cup Honey
  • ⅓ Cup Gelatin
Instructions
  1. Put all your ingredients into a blender (- the Gelatin) and pulse until all is combined.
  2. Put your mixture into a sauce pan.
  3. Add your ⅓ cup of gelatin.
  4. Let it sit for a minute or two so the gelatin can suck up the liquid. (This will help prevent a clumpy or gritty finished product!)
  5. Turn on the heat to low to medium till the gelatin dissolves.
  6. Turn off heat and let sit for a few minutes to cool down.
  7. Use a syringe and suck up your juice and push out into your gummy mold.
  8. Let sit for 5 minutes so it sets and then put in fridge for two hours. Remove from molds and enjoy

    1. Thank you for your kind words, I have put a lot of work into this website although its still not up to the standards I would like it to be. It is mainly just a hobby and a handy place for me to look back on my recipes while sharing them with the world. Good luck with building your website. I am sure you will do great with it. x
