Gluten Free Orange Scones

These Gluten Free Orange Scones are packed with fresh orange flavour and topped with a sweet homemade orange glaze, making them a perfect breakfast, brunch, or dessert for any season.

Gluten Free Orange Scones

These orange scones are not hard and crunchy, they’ve got a soft interior with only a slight crunch in the top and bottom. Since these are a scone made using fresh orange juice, the added moisture helps keep these nice and soft and not dry and crumbly.

Gluten Free Orange Scones

To make these scones I just tweaked my Gluten Free Plain Scones Recipe. I really wanted to infuse tons of orange flavour to these. To accomplish this I added orange juice and zest to the dough. Then I finished the scones with an icing sugar glaze spiked with more orange juice and topped off with more orange zest. The flakes of zest just look so pretty.

Scones require only a few ingredients and simple steps. There are just key things to remember to get a soft scone. All cold ingredients and don’t over mix. If you keep this in mind, you’ll get  scones that are worth sharing to your friends and family just like this one. These are definitely my new favourite Scones, and I hope they will be yours too.
