What Makes This Parsley Sauce Gluten-Free?

While traditional recipes often use wheat flour to thicken the sauce, I’ve swapped it out for gluten free flour, ensuring that those with celiac disease like myself or gluten intolerance can still enjoy this classic Irish comfort food. The result is a creamy, flavourful sauce that tastes just as delicious, without any compromise on taste.

Serving Suggestions: The Perfect Irish Comfort Meal

This gluten free parsley sauce is especially tasty when drizzled over mashed potatoes, served alongside tender gammon and steamed cabbage. I cooked my Gammon in my slowcooker, hence why its so flaky. The creamy texture of the sauce pairs beautifully with the savory, salty flavours of the gammon and the hearty mashed potatoes, making it a go to for a satisfying, traditional Irish meal. The combination of this rich sauce with Irish favourites brings a nostalgic, home cooked feel to the table.
