Description

This creamy gluten-free parsley sauce is made with butter, milk, gluten-free flour, and dried parsley. Perfect for serving over mashed potatoes, gammon, and cabbage, it's an Irish comfort food classic that’s simple and delicious.

Ingredients
  • 355 ml milk
  • 25 g Gluten free plain flour
  • 30 g butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp ground parsley
Instructions
  1. Place a pan on medium heat, add butter and leave to melt. Add the flour and whisk to combine to form a paste and cook for about 1 minute.
  2. Reduce the heat then add the milk gradually to the paste until a smooth lump free sauce is formed. Simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes or until the sauce no longer has a floury taste. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add parsley and mix to combine.
  4. Take it off the heat and serve over your meal.
